me on christmas 1988

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone got what they wished for and is enjoying the day with friends and family. I’ll be having Christmas dinner her at our apartment again this year. My mom and brothers will be here too. Then I’m off to my Gram’s house for a quick visit and after that to Shayne’s Grandpa’s house.

As you can see I have a full day ahead of me and can’t wait to get back home and watch a movie and snuggle up with Shayne and some hot cocoa. Until then I hope you’ll enjoy these pictures of holidays past.

2008 In Pictures

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

Christmas is just two days away! This year seems like it flew by faster than it should have so now I find myself looking back and embracing every last second of 2008. That means I’ve spent this morning looking at tons of pictures from ’08 and realizing that I never posted any of them. Here they are my favorite photos of the year.

Christmas Decorations 2008

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Last week Shayne and I got the Christmas decorations out. We toyed with the idea of getting a real tree but I love the teal tinsel tree too much and a pine scented candle gave me my real tree smell fix.

Sweet little Feather Finchley. She is my favorite part of holiday decorating and has been with me from the beginning.

Our tree this year is all colorful Christmas balls with the exception of a few sentimental ornaments. The mice are Shayne’s as are the Rudolph ones. My special touches are the glittery one above from Pier 1. I love it because it is from our first tree we had together in 2002. The other ornament features Button and Bo and it still makes me as happy as ever when I put it on the tree.

Paper Treasure

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Paper Treasure is a line of sustainable jewelry created from quality vintage components: abundant with lockets, patined charms and beautifully aged beads. Pieces in this non-seasonal collection have been created individually or in very limited editions. Necklaces are named after actual shipwrecks and come with sweet, little, historical stories.

Paper Treasure designer, Jesseca Mccloskey is inspired first and foremost by the vintage materials that she has collected. She is constantly on the search for old, cast-off jewelry and broken bits to disassemble and transform. Not only will you love her collection but her website as well. It has just been completely overhauled and re-launched. So enjoy!
