13 years

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Today it has been 13 years since we started dating and 3 since we got engaged. I’m so excited and happy that I’ve been able to spend all of these years with this amazing man. He is my best friend and has been there for me through everything. The good, bad and everywhere in between. I’ve known him for half of my life and I couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime. It’s been a wonderful 13 years and I can’t wait to see what is in store for us!

photojojo + the impossible project

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Lisbeth from Photojojo contacted me this week to let me know that they have partnered with The Impossible Project to sell some limited edition Rainbow SX-70 OneStep Polaroid Cameras. This is especially cool since they’re pretty rare (made between 1977-1982). There are only 50 available and each come with two packs of PX 100 film. They are available starting today only at Photojojo.

a few of my current favorites

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

My blog posts have been few and far between of late. That may have something to do with the horrible tooth pain I’ve been having for the past week or so. Thankfully I have a dentist appointment bright and early at 8am tomorrow and I’m really hoping he can figure out the problem. So enough of the complaining and here are a few of my current favorite things.

Vintage Pyrex : Daisy Advertisement

Friday, June 18th, 2010

I found this ad for Pyrex’s Daisy collection in an old issue of Woman’s Day magazine. Currently I do not have any of this pattern’s casseroles or bowls but I do have one of the juice carafes. I love it for the summertime and use it often for lemonade and iced tea.

Although it features bright citrus fruit instead of daisy flowers according to the advertisement it did indeed go with this collection. I love the sunny yellow lid!

tex-mex night

Friday, June 18th, 2010

Last night was Tex-Mex night at our house.  We had chips and salsa, yummy goya sodas and these delicious chicken and steak fajitas that I saw on an episode of Giada at Home.
