2010 was filled with happy and amazing memories as well as a few sad. I am so excited for a fresh start and cannot wait to see what’s in store for us this year. Here is to a wonderfully happy 2011!
Now it’s time to get dressed up, stuff my face with delicious snacks and drink a little bubbly! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Just popping in to wish you a very merry Christmas! Tonight we are baking some cookies and pies, watching Christmas in Connecticut and preparing for the Christmas dinner we will be hosting tomorrow with my family. Hope you all have a wonderful and cozy time with your loved ones!
As promised here is my collection of black snowflake casseroles. The majority of them were a Christmas gift from my dad in 2007. That’s a whole 50 years after they came out in 1957! The pattern is made up of large or small snowflakes in a row. It came in three different color combinations: white on black, white on turquoise and turquoise on white. The black or charcoal (as it was called) color on these casseroles is a matte finish, not shiny like other Pyrex colors.

With Christmas only 5 days away (crazy!), I thought this week I would share some of my holiday related Pyrex. Here is an advertisement that I found in an issue of Better Homes & Gardens from February 1959.
I have quite a few pieces featuring the snowflake pattern. Only one of mine is blue and the rest are black with white snowflakes. More on those tomorrow.
