I woke up today feeling less than healthy…sore throat, stuffy nose etc. So, while I’m taking it easy and napping the evening away, please enjoy these fashion and beauty ads that I scanned. They are from the November 1968 issue of Mademoiselle.
What a difference a few days makes! Friday it was a gorgeous but windy close to 70 degree day. Obviously that was a tease because this is what it looks like outside my window.
I love the snow but at this point, like most of you, I’m over it and cannot wait for Spring. In preparation for the warm months I’m doing my best to eat healthy, drink more water and fit in more exercise. I’ve got some real workout inspiration from Danielle of Sometimes Sweet. Her words on fitness, self-acceptance and motivation are super inspiring. I’ll leave you with a photo of my lunch or part of it anyway. The rest is carrots with hummus with a low-fat string cheese.
I’m off to measure dresses for the vintage shop and then I have tons of photo editing ahead of me. Let’s hope I can fit in a chilly walk around the neighborhood or an at home workout via Netflix. Enjoy your day!
I found this lovely Pyrex gifts ad in one of my old magazines. It features most of my wishlist pieces, including the Zodiac and Gourmet casseroles. The only one I have in this beautiful display is the Empire Scroll casserole which I will soon be showing off here.
Today me and the mister enjoyed the 70 degree weather (sad it is only a tease and tomorrow it’s back to regular Pennsylvania winter temps) and went out for lunch at the Squeeze In followed by ice cream and a trip to the flea market. There was Pyrex galore but all was either too pricey or too damaged:( I did however find a handful of amazing vintage pieces that will be hitting the shop this week!

Our Valentine’s Day was oh so sweet! This was our 14th one spent together and it was just as lovely if not more than the first (yes we have been together over 13 years and are not married yet AND to save you the math we started dating when I was 13) whew! The day started out with carnations and tulips.
The mister spent the whole afternoon out searching for the perfect gift and he found this wonderful pink stripe Pyrex bowl. Chocolate truffles and heart shaped wintergreen lollipops added to an already perfect gift.

We finished the night with some wine and saw Blue Valentine (loved it!) I also found a candle recently that Shayne bought for me on our first Valentine’s together…I decided last night was the perfect night to finally burn it. Hope your day was just as nice!
After waiting for what seems like forever BHLDN is finally here! I bought these two dresses this afternoon and am hoping that one of them will be perfect for the big day. I wanted something short and a little different. These fit the bill. Still trying to decide on what shoes to purchase but I LOVE just about every pair from Something Bleu!
