26 weeks! I cannot get over how quickly time is flying by. Lately I can think of nothing else but meeting this little baby. I’m actually about a week or so behind in my baby posts seeing as this was taken last Saturday. We spent the day in the park lounging around and taking photos. We also found some super cute vintage baby clothes at the flea market. Things have been going really well except for the fact that I’m beginning to lose my energy. Little lady’s kicks are getting super strong to the point that they startle me sometimes!

Earlier this week I did a quick pop in to one of my favorite thrift stores. Normally I find one or two really nice pieces that end up in the Night Owl Vintage shop. This particular day the thrift gods were on my side. As I searched the racks there was one amazing dress after another! All from the 50′s and 60′s. My cart was overflowing with the gorgeous prints you see in the photo above. I cannot wait to get these in the shop next week. Here is to a weekend of taking photos, editing and measuring.
Happy Weekend!
This chip and dip set came out in the Spring of 1958 as a promotion. It is a beautiful turquoise blue color with images of hot air balloons, the sun, the moon and a few birds printed in white. This is one of my favorite Pyrex patterns but unfortunately this set is the only one to feature the balloons. I found this set at a local antique shop and paid $25.
Both bowls are in the Cinderella shape. The small dip bowl is 1.5 pints and has the number #441 printed on the bottom. The large chip bowl is 4 quarts and has the number #444 printed on the bottom. Came with a brass colored wire holder for the small bowl.
Name: Balloons Chip & Dip Set
Type: Promotional Cinderella Bowl
Size: 1.5 pint #441 and 4 quart #444
Year: Spring 1958
BOY OR GIRL???….
IT’S A GIRL!!! At least we are pretty sure. At our 20 week ultrasound there was no telling what baby was. The little legs were tucked up under the bum and we couldn’t get even a glimpse. At our last appointment on the 11th we had another ultrasound. After much looking around, the ultrasound technician said….”Looks like you’re having a girl baby”. One of the legs were still tucked under and hiding things a bit but he said he saw no boy parts. So, until boy parts appear on that screen…It’s a girl!!!
I was a little nervous to start shopping because of that little leg hiding things. That all changed this weekend when we stopped by a local antique shop. I found quite a few vintage outfits for this little lady and just in case there is one for a little mister:)
