Today I turn 28. I’m off celebrating as much as a pregnant gal can…mocktails and cupcakes made by my love!

These vintage shots were dug up by How to Be a Retronaut and were originally taken from The Circus Book: 1870-1950. They were shot at traveling camps from the 1940s-1950s and are great eye candy for any fan of vintage!
Introduced in 1971, the Friendship pattern features a Pennsylvania Dutch like motif of flowers and birds in shades of red, orange and yellow. The oval casserole pictured above was a present from the mister this past Christmas and the small bowl is from a nesting bowl set that I found at a yard sale. Casseroles in the Friendship pattern came with a printed lid which is either clear glass or like mine solid white.
Below are some scans from a Pyrex catalog that show the various pieces that were available in the Friendship pattern.
Name: Friendship
Type: Small Nesting Bowl & Cinderella Oval Casserole
Size: 1.5 Pint #401 & 1.5 Quart #043
Year: 1971

These photos are from a few weeks ago as I’m now almost 30 weeks! They were taken on a gorgeous day that we spent at the marina. Everything is still going really well. Although, if I’m being completely honest, things are getting a bit uncomfortable around here. I have a pretty painful case of hip pain/sciatica and sleeping has become next to impossible. We’ve also been having some seriously warm weather so I’ve been keeping cool with cold treats (Rita’s) and the air conditioner is my best friend!
Oh and the best part of the past couple weeks is that lots of baby things have been arriving at our front door including the crib. We still have some projects and rearranging to do before we get it all set up but I can’t wait to show it off!

I love everything about this modern nursery that mom Chelsea Horsley created for her twin boys. The white with pops of color in the accessories is right up my alley. Not only does this nursery look fantastic but it was done on a budget. All of the furniture minus the pouf and the leather chair were found at ikea.
