Parnell Collective

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

The founding members of Parnell are Jason Wasserman, Krista Bursey, Peter Ricq, Eric Dufour, Evan Melnyk & Fred Casia. This group of art fueled riff raff were brought together through the love of contemporary art and the respect for one another’s craft. The Parnell Fine Art Collective is proud to present the first in the series of new Parnell T-shirts for 2007. Based on their new collaborative art exhibition ‘Stranger Danger’ these tees are only available in limited quantities.

(yes that’s Yana of Supayana! her boyfriend is part of Parnell)

Originally a swarm of renegade pop surrealist artists exhibiting just outside of the Montreal mainstream art scene, the aforementioned artists joined forces to create a network for collaborative projects, group exhibitions and events working primarily in illustration, painting, tattooing and animation. Each artist contributes his or her experience, perspective and tools from their profession to the Parnell Collective.

Tees In Your Mailbox

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

MailboxTees is a fun and unique t-shirt subscription service. Each month, they find some super amazing and talented artist to create a totally unique design and put it on a really nice, soft, high-quality shirt. Then they mail it out to you every month!

MailboxTees only prints on high quality, soft and comfy tees, in a variety of different colors and styles from long sleeve to short sleeve, ringers, 2 tone – you name it. Of course, they only use super stylish tees and color combinations that rock (but not too hard.) The tees are produced in limited quantities, and arrive with a number stamp on the back of the neck, plus info about the artist who created it. I love this idea so much! Plus who wouldn’t love receiving a new tee in their mailbox. If only they had the power to make your bills magically disappear!

Visit www.mailboxtees.com to sign up for their service.

Gifts for the Guys

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

It can be difficult to find something special to give your guy around the holidays. I’ve found a few sites that carry items geared towards the men in your life. First up is Cyberoptix, a tie lovers dream! Each necktie is hand-silkscreened onto a quality, 100% charmeuse silk or poly-blend base. They come in so many different colors and designs and are reasonable priced at $30-$40.

Snowcone Collective designs limited edition graphic tees. They have some great picks for men but my favorite is the Keep It Together tee.

If your guy isn’t scared to wear jewelry Down To The Wire Designs has a ring that is ultra masculine. Made of sterling silver with dark gray titanium panels riveted in place for a nice contrast. The titanium panels are scored to give them a rough industrial look.

Finally, if he has a collection of belt buckles, give him something unique this year to add to the pile. Cassette Tape Belt Buckles from Honorable Mention can easily be attached to belts that accept interchangeble buckles. The buckles are packaged just like cassette tapes and come with your own complimentary lyrics!!
