Mademoiselle’s Manhunt was a two-page pullout game featured in the magazine’s June 1963 issue. The rules were simple: “Take one die, any number of girls, and toss. Use shells, pebbles, anything small for markers. First girl home is first girl married.” Along the way, the “girls” move toward or away from the matrimonial finish line by landing on squares with directives like, “You didn’t put your perfume on this morning. Back to GO,” or, “You broil a great hotdog. Ahead 1.”

The best part is an item I’ve been lusting after for some time now. Readers of Mademoiselle could head to the department store and for $2 they could purchase a 23 inch square silk scarf with the Manhunt game printed on it! If only I could get my hands on one of these…until then the above photo will have to do.
