This week’s Pyrex Obsession is the Bake, Serve and Store Casserole Set in the Autumn Harvest pattern. From 1982, the Autumn Harvest pattern consists of a cluster of white wheat stalks printed on a red or orange background. The set comes with three casseroles and matching clear lids. The smallest of the dishes is dark reddish-brown, the middle is orange-brown and the larger dish is dark reddish-brown. Since this set was produced in the early 1980′s it features metric measurements on the bottom of the casserole dishes.

The voluptuous Sophia Loren was among the most successful international stars of the postwar era; not only did she rise to fame as a sex symbol, but she also won a measure of critical acclaim rarely afforded most of her foreign-born contemporaries. Her film Houseboat, where she played alongside Cary Grant, is one of my favorite movies.
